Lions Player on Eagles: “We Made Them Tap Out”

As an Eagles fan, it’s been painful enough to watch them get their asses kicked the last two weeks, but what’s even worse is that they aren’t playing with any heart or passion. For instance, take this Golden Tate touchdown, where he literally walked in to the end zone.

A disgrace.

What would Brian Dawkins have done if he was on the field playing and saw this? He probably would’ve taken a 15-yard penalty for giving Tate a hit after the play, or the next Lions’ offensive series. Not these gutless Eagles. They do nothing and the world mocks them.

As if that’s not bad enough, the Lions players don’t even respect the Eagles. One Detroit player told NFL Media’s Albert Breer, “We made them tap out… guys just looked like they didn’t want to play anymore.”

As for Jason Peters, who I think is the one who completely quit on the team weeks ago, he didn’t really help his cause at all yesterday.

How about Lane Johnson, who threw the fans under the bus and then picked them up and dusted them off, only to punch them, figuratively, in the gut? [Crossing Broad]

What happened to that whole “We’re from Philadelphia and we fight” thing? This team from top to bottom is a joke.
