Ronda Rousey Medically Suspended for up to 180 Days. Are the Conspiracy Theorists Right?

Ronda Rousey is one of six fighters from UFC 193 that has been medically suspended. Her suspension is for up to 180 days, after she lost to Holly Holm on Saturday night.

MixedMartialArts.com broke the news that she won’t be allowed to fight until mid-2016, unless her CT scan comes back clean. The 180 day medical suspension just happened to be the most severe in the list of suspensions that have been announced from UFC 193.

This is the part of the conversation, where I will now entertain the thought of the Taz conspiracy theory that the fight was rigged. Rousey revealed prior to the fight that she was looking to take a break from MMA and in fact, she is actually scheduled to film her new movie around April of next year in Indonesia. Here’s the part of Taz’s statement that is interesting to this new development.

Why are some people not seeing this? This has been done in the wrestling industry for years. A guy or girl is going to take a break or go away, or has an injury that they have to tend to, whatever the reasons are, and they’re a champion – you take the championship off of them. You do not want your champion sitting home or making a movie, ‘Roadhouse 2’ or whatever Rousey’s going to do, or whatever Rousey’s going to do, or just needs a personal break, which she’s earned. This girl’s earned it. But you don’t want that person sitting home for five, six, seven months with that championship. IT’S BAD FOR BUSINESS! TAKE THE BELT OFF HER!”

Is it just a coincidence that this “medical suspension” will cover her while she’s out filming? You tell us.
