Chip Kelly, often criticized for his reputation as a quarterback guru, has his sights on who he wants the next Eagles quarterback to be. Having to deal with an old Michael Vick, an immobile Nick Foles and Sam Bradford, and having to deal with some poor decision-making with Mark Sanchez, Chip wasn’t really dealt a great hand when he became coach of the Eagles. For as bad as Bradford has been this season, Foles has been worse for the Rams. And so Chip needs a quarterback fast.
Just this morning, an interesting tidbit came out on Twitter from Andrew Perloff, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Does Chip feel like it’s time to move on from Bradford to a much more name worthy, but less talented QB?

So , should we be excited for the big name, less talented, Manziel? Maybe, but not so fast.
The report says Chip Kelly is interested in Manziel. Why is that interesting? Well, they don’t say the Eagles would be interested in Manziel. Schefter was the one that said Chip was sick of the situation with the Eagles, and might not be here next year. So, is this hinting that Chip is interested, but not the Eagles? Is it that if Chip ends up anywhere with a QB not named Mariota that Chip will make a move for Manziel?
I personally want no part of Manziel as a fan. As a blogger, though? Can you imagine a tandem of Okafor and Manziel out in Old City? The blogs practically write themselves. So, from that angle, bring it on!
