According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, DeMarco Murray met with Chip Kelly to discuss his role with the team for the rest of the season. I think we can see where this is all heading. We told you earlier today that Murray is now the fourth RB on the depth chart and he’s building a permanent home in Dallas. There have been reports that Murray wants to be cut so that he can go back to Dallas.

During that meeting, no assurances were given in regard to Murray's role for the rest of the season.

It seems like the only reasonable thing to do at this point would be for Kelly and Murray to meet to decide how to move forward with this marriage. This inevitable break-up needs to be as least messy as possible (if it’s even possible to do at all). One thing is for sure and that is that this won’t be the last that we hear of this saga.
