Audio: WIP’s Josh Innes Calls Jason Kelce a “House Negro”

Josh Innes has one objective when he does his radio show – create controversy. Some days are better than other, but ever since Innes arrived in Philly on WIP, he’s been one of the more controversial radio hosts. I mean, I guess as the new guy coming in he has to be to create a name for himself and create a following.

But today, things just got weird. And stupid. Before Doug Pederson’s introductory press conference, Innes was on the air talking about how Jason Kelce, who was at the press conference, is the “Yes-Man” to everyone in the Eagles organization. He likened him to a “house negro.” No, I’m not making this up.

So, Innes’ attempt to paint Kelce as a “Yes-Man,” or a kiss-ass as he would later say, had to include a reference to slavery. And Hollis Thomas was in the unfortunate position of having to deal with that mess before the press conference started.

Innes is a tool. Trying to be edgy, pushing the envelope we get it. You suck, you try to hard and in the end it comes off as forced. That makes it not funny. Sorry dude you blow and gotta go. As for the comment about Kelce the dude is what any coach would want on his team. In a league full of selfish look at me types its nice to have a guy who thinks team first.
