Apparently after the Flyers-Mapleleafs game in Toronto, some Flyers fans decided to ambush a Devils fan, who according to David Pagnotta (@TheFourthPeriod) was wearing a Devils jersey under his jacket. Wow, it’s not like any other fans in sports history, have not chanted ass hole to an opposing fan. Also, who wears a Devils jersey for a Flyers Maple Leafs game, in Toronto. The Devils fan is asking for that kid of attention.

Nope, it is fairly common in Canada for people to wear random hockey jerseys to games. I don’t know why. But they do it up there for some reason.
Flyers fans were drunk, stupid and embarrassing. You should not act like that in a different country.
This is what I call the Ken from Alabama lesson.
I used to work with a guy named Ken. He was from Alabama. He was a total jerk. He was rude, obnoxious and just generally difficult to be around. His claim to fame was once being on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Regis Philbin laughed at him and smiled when he lost on the $16,000 question and went home with $1000.
I have not worked with Ken in over 12 years. But he is still the only person from Alabama I have ever known. Because of him I think that everybody from Alabama is just like him.
The fans in Toronto who witnessed this now think this is how all Flyers fans act. These clowns embarrassed the entire city of Philadelphia. If you want people to stop bringing up all of the times Philly sports fans have done something embarrassing, then stop doing embarrassing things.
Regardless, this isn’t the first time this has ever happened. Entire stadiums chant ass hole to refs, players, etc, throw bananas at black players on the ice, while yelling racial slurs and beating opposing teams fans into comas. There have been way worse from other cities, than these dopes. Just so happens, they have Flyers sweaters and, we once threw snowballs at Santa, and had a holding cell at the Vet, all the sudden we’re the spawns of Satan himself. Not trying to excuse these guys, because they’re drunk and they’re acting like immature idiots. But saying this is another “black eye” to Philly fans is pretty stupid. I don’t think our reputation can get any worse, everyone will always see us as Philly fans.

No, going to another country, getting drunk and yelling at somebody because you don’t like their shirt is making the problem worse.
Like I said, our reputation as fans will never get better. We’re forever condemned as Philly Fans. I’m not justifying their actions, just stating there has been worse, and nothing will change our reputation.
