Jordan Matthews and His Cure for No More Drops

Jordan Matthews is out for blood this year! Throughout the short offseason so far, the Eagles’ #1 wide receiver has kept us up to date on his workouts via all forms of social media, which is something that I think is very cool. We always wonder what separates the good players from the great players and it’s all about putting in that work during the off months. Now, this certainly isn’t “Jerry Rice and his famous hill” type of work but I do enjoy having the opportunity to see these guys work out in the offseason.

It’s funny – when you hear people talk about Matthews last season, you would think he had a terrible year. He did have a few crucial drops, and he did some things that maybe rubbed you the wrong way, but he also had 85 catches, 18 more compared to his rookie season. He almost hit 1,000 yards receiving. Eight touchdowns. In that offense. Not that bad.

Unless he’s on the field in full uniform while covered by DB’s this means nothing. Last year him, Zach Ertz &, Nelson Agholor all logged a thousand hours on the jugs machine and that did nothing.
