Talks Heating up between the Sixers and Celtics for the No. 3 Pick in the NBA Draft

We are just days away from the NBA draft. The Sixers have always been suspected to be very active during the draft and a new report indicates that they’re indeed trying to make a deal happen. Gary Tanguay of CSN New England indicates that talks are heating up between the Sixers and Celtics for the number three pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, “Danny Ainge has been shopping the No. 3 pick aggressively, hoping to get an established player in return.” PBT would go onto mention that there wasn’t any word on the package the Sixers would send, but they’d probably offer Okafor. The reasoning is that the Sixers value Nerlens Noel’s defensive potential a little bit more than Okafor in general, even if Noel isn’t on his way to being a franchise player.

With all signs pointing to the Sixers drafting Ben Simmons with the first pick, Philly seems intent to not just settle with that pick. The Sixers are in desperate need of a point guard and Kris Dunn from Providence would give them the player that they need to build for the future with. He’s one of the best, if not the best two-way player in this draft.

Whatever goes down on draft night, the course of the Sixers franchise could be changed for the better.

Let’s see here: Sixers draft ball-dominant point-forward Ben Simmons, then make a trade for ball-dominant point guard Kris Dunn. And they have poin-forward Dario Sario on the way, which leads me to believe that this situation has the potential to be disastrous.

So the ownership axed Hinkie for making too many moves and not building enough of a base, especially of veterans. Then BC comes in and reportedly is interested in trading Okafor for a pick(which I am in favor of).

    The hypocrisy is real.
