The Baltimore Orioles’ Manny Machado was plunked by the Kansas City Royals’ Yordano Ventura on Tuesday night, and it erupted into chaos.
According to the New York Post, Ventura nearly hit Machado with a pitch in the second inning. At the end of the at-bat, a Machado fly out, the two exchanged words. So this clearly wasn’t something out of the blue.
Both men were ejected and are sure to see suspensions.
