There’s probably a reason Ben Simmons’ camp changed their tune and worked out for the Sixers this morning.
Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com of all places reports the Sixers informed Simmons and co. they’d be drafting him first overall on Thursday night.

The Sixers have been leaning heavily towards drafting Simmons according to reports, but did their due diligence in working out other basketball players, including Brandon Ingram recently. But it seems like their collective heart is set on Simmons.
Sources say Ben Simmons' workout for the Sixers today is the strongest indication yet Philadelphia has promised to select Simmons at No. 1.

There is little chance, sources say, Simmons' agent Rich Paul would have granted Philly permission to hold a workout without such a promise.
