Report: Nick Foles Signs with the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have found their backup to Alex Smith.

A week after being granted his release from the Los Angeles Rams, Nick Foles has reunited with Andy Reid in Kansas City, according to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo.

Reid was the one who selected Foles in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft before the Arizona product broke out for Chip Kelly and the Eagles in 2013.

Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray were the quarterbacks listed behind Smith on the depth chart, but neither has thrown a pass in the NFL. Foles was also linked to the Dallas Cowboys, which would’ve been a spectacular mess. Ian Rapoport also said Foles had an offer from the Vikings.
