Report: Sixers Interested in Trading for Tyus Jones

According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Sixers are interested in trading for Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Tyus Jones.

The Timberwolves are receiving interest in Ricky Rubio and Jones as the T-Wolves, who are under the direction of new President and Head Coach Tom Thibodeau. According to Wojnarowski, Minnesota is not really open to talks regarding Rubio, but are open to letting go of Jones in a deal.

The Sixers are not the only team interested in the 20-year old, however, as the New Orleans Pelicans are also in the mix, according to the report.

Jones, who was the 24th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft, won NBA Summer League MVP honors this past offseason. He played for Duke, and was teammates with Jahlil Okafor, before leaving a year early to enter the draft.

During his rookie season, Jones averaged 4.2 points per game and 2.9 assists per contest as he shot just under 36% from the floor.
