Flyers forward Dale Weise leveled Ducks defenseman Korbinian Holzer with an illegal hit to the head during the Flyers’ home opener against Anaheim last night, and now he’s been suspended because of it.

The NHL Department of Player Safety explained Weise’s suspension below, saying head contact could have been avoided.
Weise was suspended for three games without pay.
