Week 12 Fantasy Football Stars and Stiffs: Part II

As the Thanksgiving games have taken their toll on our lineups, now it’s time to lock in towards Sunday. There are many options still available and some juicy matchups just waiting to take off. Will Russell Wilson exploit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Will Matt Ryan take the Arizona Cardinals’ heart? Is Jeremy Hill a lockdown starter without Gio Bernard in the backfield? Is there any reason DeMarco Murray will not feast on the hapless Chicago Bears? One thing is for sure, the scoreboard will be hopping this weekend as points will be at a premium.

As always, I look forward to your opinions and feedback. You can tweet me with any questions (@TCutillo23) and leave your comments below. For my statistical hounds out there I will put last week’s stats in parentheses so you can see how I performed. Here are my picks for Week 12:

STARS FOR WEEK 12 (Last week: 6 out of 8)
QB: Matt Ryan (ARZ), Russell Wilson (@TB)
RB: DeMarco Murray (@CHI), Todd Gurley (NO), Jay Ajayi (SF)
WR/TE: Tyrell Williams (@HOU), Julian Edelman (@NYJ), Demaryius Thomas (KC)

STIFFS FOR WEEK 12 (Last Week….6 out of 7….)
QB: Tyrod Taylor (JAX), Carson Palmer (@ATL)
RB: Jonathan Stewart (@OAK), Jordan Howard (TEN)
WR/TE: Michael Thomas (@LAR), Steve Smith (CIN), Randall Cobb (@PHI)

SLEEPERS FOR WEEK 12 (Last Week…1 out of 3)
Sammie Watkins (JAC), Wendell Smallwood (GB), Thomas Rawls (@TB)

BUST ALERT FOR WEEK 12: (Last Week….2 out of 2)
T.J. Yeldon (@BUF), Colin Kaepernick (SF), Eli Manning (@CLE)

WEEK 12 TRIPLE THREAT

Matt Ryan (ARZ) – Matty Ice at home against the lowly Arizona Cardinals is just what the Falcons need. Ryan is having an MVP season and will eat right through the holes of a suspect Cardinals defense. If you are looking for points from the QB position, look no further.

Jay Ajayi (SF) – Jay Ajayi has dropped off over the last few weeks, but his touches are still there. This week, he battles a defense that couldn’t stop a high school marching band during practice let alone an NFL offense. Bye, Chip!

Amari Cooper (CAR) – The Carolina Panthers have been bitten by trying to revamp their secondary this year and this week will be another bad experience for their young CBs. They visit the Raiders who could arguably be the best the offensive team in the NFL. Either way, Derek Carr, Michael Crabtree and Cooper are money and this is the week to cash your check.

BOLD prediction: CLEVELAND BEATS THE NY GIANTS. 21-14. Book it.
