Eagles Take a Chance on Former Top-10 Pick Chance Warmack

The Philadelphia Eagles took a chance on a former top-10 pick in an attempt to bolster the offensive line.

The Eagles signed guard Chance Warmack to a one-year, $1.5 million on the opening day of free agency Thursday, getting lost in the shuffle with all of the excitement surrounding the Alshon Jeffery acquisition.

Warmack joins the list of free agents the Eagles have picked up with ties to the coaching staff. The 25-year-old Warmack was the 10th pick in 2013 out of Alabama, where now offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland used to reside. The Eagles already have Brandon Brooks and Allen Barbre, who the Inquirer’s Jeff McLane reported the Eagles would bring back.

It’s a depth move for a cheap price.
