Why Does the NBA Hate the 76ers?

Man, why do they all hate us? It makes no sense to continue to hate the 76ers for a few seasons of tanking. Honestly, I understand our future is bright with picks and hobbled superstars, but the jealousy needs to stop!

Need an example? Yesterday, I was watching the New York Knicks vs. the Boston Celtics on ABC – a game that was basically over at half because the Knicks are a putrid franchise. (How about being a Knicks fan? Wasn’t that fanbase trying to sell them as a contender at the beginning of the year? Derrick Rose called them the “Big 3” … hahahaha. How about a mean record of 29-48 as we head into the final week of regular season hoops.)

Anyway, during the 4th quarter, I started to wonder what in the hell am I watching this game for, and then all of a sudden, Mike Been, Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson started discussing who they would vote for in the Rookie of the Year category. ALL THREE SAID Malcolm Brogdon from the Milwaukee Bucks, who is averaging less points and assists than the guy I’m voting for, Dario Saric. (Also to note, Patrick Ewing won the award with only 50 games played). The main reason they said they were voting for Brogdon was because he stepped up for an injured Jabari Parker. NONSENSE! Dario is easily the ROY, no questions. Next topic.

Stop hating the 76ers! I think my man said it best in the tweet below #BoycottABC.
