TV Trends: The ‘Dirty Dancing’ Nightmare, ‘Game of Thrones’ Trailer, and ‘Claws’ Impresses

Each week we will bring you the latest in television news, episode trailers, and promotional news. From what’s streaming this week to the best scenes from hit series, we’ve got you covered.

Put Baby Back in the Corner

If you happened to stumble on social media on Thursday night, you may have seen endless posts for the ABC remake of the iconic film “Dirty Dancing.” The TV movie starred Abagail Breslin, Debra Messing, Sarah Hyland, Billy Dee Williams, and several other regretful individuals. Proud owners of a 20% Rotten Tomato review, the movie received an overwhelming negative reaction. It was without a doubt, one of the worst things I have ever seen. The movie was the perfect mixture of terrible acting, horrifying vocals, poor writing, and a directorial vision that was in shambles.  The choreography was like watching the Tin Man in “The Wizard of Oz” before they gave him the oil. Even if the film had stayed true to the original and recreated it shot-for-shot, it wouldn’t have been marginally entertaining.

I could rant and rave. I could go on talking about plot points or list 1,000 reasons why “She’s Like The Wind’ should’ve never been a techno song. But I will simply say; don’t watch this movie! Don’t watch it as a dare. Don’t hate watch it or give a second of your eyesight to it.  Patrick Swayze deserved better.
