Parks On Tap This Week: Paine’s Park

The traveling beer garden Parks on Tap will have residency at Paine’s Park between the dates of 6/21-7/3. The hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays 5PM-10PM, Fridays and Saturdays 1PM-11PM, and Sundays 12PM-10PM. There will be food, several beers on tap, hammocks, and more.

This Week’s Center City Sips Picks: Nomad Roman Pizza, Spice 28, Time

Each Wednesday between the hours of 5PM-7PM the areas of Avenue of the Arts, Center City East, Center City West, and Rittenhouse Square participate in Center City Sips. Over 80 participating locations have $5 cocktails, $4 wines, $3 beers, and appetizer discounts. Here are this week’s best deals:

Nomad Roman Pizza: Nomad has a surprisingly extensive beer list, offers $5 innovative and creative house specialty drinks, and their famous wood-fired pizza is almost half priced.

Spice 28: This Asian eatery is one of the cocktail gems of CC Sips. For as low as $5 a pop you can get almost any cocktail you can think of. The establishment also has low priced dumplings, wraps, edamame, and more.

Maggiano’s: The first plus of going to Maggiano’s for CC Sips is that if you stay for post Happy Hour dinner, your meal will be 15% off. You’ll have access to the restaurant’s massive wine and beer list and of  course delicious Italian small plates.

Time: From Goose Island IPA to $4 Merlot, Time has something for everyone. This Samson Street whiskey bar also has added fortune of having great live music. Here you can get shrimp’n grits or mussels at a discounted price.

This Week’s Old City Eats Picks: Cuba Libre, The Gaslight, The Little Lion

Each Thursday between the hours of 5PM-8PM Philadelphia historic district Old City participates in Old City Eats. Over 25 participating locations have half-priced appetizers, $4 beers, $5 cocktails, and other drink specials. Here are this week’s best deals:

Cuba Libre: This flavorful location offers half off black bean hummus, plantain and malanga chips, and several other appetizers. Stop by for their signature Caipiroska cocktail and discounted Victory Summer Wheat.

The Gaslight: If you like German pretzel bites and other non-nonsense appetizers The Gaslight is the place for you. They have rotating beer specials each week and a $5 cocktail titled “10 Cent Clamour Girl”.

The Little Lion: The Little Lion’s Old City Eats menu consists of discounted watermelon margaritas and a weekly Penn Beer featured selection. They have several mouth-watering food options such as spicy dry rub chicken wings, southern poutine, and more.

JJ Bootleggers: JJ Bootleggers offers several chicken wing options and quesadillas for their specialty Old City Eats menu. You can also stop by and taste the fantastic Rum Runner drink.

All-American BBQ: Dilworth Park will be hosting an All-American BBQ on Wednesday, June 22nd through Sunday, June 25th from 5PM-9PM. There will be several DJs, live music, a beer garden, and countless games and activities curated by Live Nation.

R&B & Sushi: La Fusion Lounge will be having a R&B & Sushi event this Thursday at 8PM. There will be a live DJ spinning the best R&B classics from the 90’s, 2000’s, and beyond.

Dunkel Dare: Frankford Hall will be hosting this Double Dare themed drinking event. Lovers of the Nickelodeon throwback show will love this extravaganza where beer trivia, exhausting games, and challenges meet slime. Come out this Thursday and Friday.

Down The Shore Party: Philadelphia History Museum is taking the sunny celebrations to a makeshift beach. This shore centered party will have beach cocktails, bathing suit attire, clam bakes, and more. The party kicks off this Thursday at 6PM and ends at 9PM.

#TGISATURDAY Rooftop Party: Fridays on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be the place to be this Saturday. This rooftop day party will run from 5PM-10PM and will have DJs, drink specials, and more.

Sundae: Bok Bar has been hosting runs of the party series Sundae each Sunday afternoon as soon as the summer rays hit. In its 14th year, the rain or shine party has a great summer vibe and tremendous drinks.
