Parks on Tap This Week: Jefferson Square Park

From Wednesday, July 26th through Sunday, July 30 Parks on Tap will be taking over Jefferson Square Park. This Thursday there will be yoga from 6:30PM-7:30PM. On Saturday enjoy free Salsa lessons at 4PM followed by a dance party. There will also be outdoor workouts at this roaming beer garden offering drinks, food, hammocks, and more.

This Week’s Center City Sips Picks: U-Bahn, Balcony Bar, Veda

Each Wednesday between the hours of 5PM-7PM the areas of Avenue of the Arts, Center City East, Center City West, and Rittenhouse Square participate in Center City Sips. Over 80 participating locations have $5 cocktails, $4 wines, $3 beers, and appetizer discounts. Here are this week’s best deals:

U-Bahn: Underground live music spot and bar U-Bahn has everything from arcade games to great food. During Center City Sips Founder’s Day IPA and Jack’s Pear Cider are discounted and the selected $3 beers. With over 15 beer taps, this establishment offers a real escape and an intriguing after work hangout.

Balcony Bar: Balcony Bar edges the downtown entertainment and performance theater The Kimmel Center. Here you won’t just get a beautiful view of the city, you’ll have access to $3 Yards and wallet pleasing appetizers. Dark Horse Cabernet, Chardonnay, and Wycliff Brut Rose are also the wines of choice.

Veda: Veda Modern Indian Bistro has a swanky interior and amazing dishes to match. Come here during Center City Sips for Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon. They also offer High Life and Yuengling during these specialty drink hours. From Tandoori chicken to samosas, there’s plenty here to quell your appetite.

This Week’s Old City Eats: Common Wealth, Eulogy, National Mechanics

Each Thursday between the hours of 5PM-8PM Philadelphia historic district Old City participates in Old City Eats. Over 25 participating locations have half-priced appetizers, $4 beers, $5 cocktails, and other drink specials. Here are this week’s best deals:

Common Wealth: Common Wealth Old City is offering half-priced buck a shuck oysters and mussels during Old City Eats. They have a Traveler’s Passage cocktail that utilizes pineapple-infused Faber vodka and have Troegs Sunshine Pilsner  as the beer to circle on Thursday evenings.

Eulogy: At Eulogy Belgian Tavern you’ll have an assortment of appetizers for you to choose from during Old City Eats. There’s roasted vegetables with red pepper hummus, crostini dijonnaise with tomate aux crevettes, and more. Be sure to check out the pomegranate martini, vanilla vodka martini, Stella, and other discounted beverages while you’re there.

National Mechanics: This former bank has an exterior that catches the eye. Be sure to cash out during Old City Eats when they’re serving plantain chips and guacamole and Fat Tire Amber beer. You’ll also have your choice of strawberry, lavender, and blood orange daiquiris each Thursday.

Each week, Philly Influencer picks the best parties and gatherings the city has to offer.

Prince Night: This Thursday will be Prince Night on the Penn’s Landing Waterfront. There will be cocktails fashioned after the great musical icon, his music will be blasting at the Blue Cross RiverRink, and there will be many activities all around the area.

Philadelphia Wine & Craft Cocktail Festival: We’ve been promoting this event for weeks and its finally here. The Philadelphia Wine & Craft Cocktail Festival is this Thursday from 6:30PM-9:30PM.  There will be a wide range of beverages to taste, food, a signature sampling cup, a gift from Sugar House Casino, and more.

Drink Philly Boat Party: This Thursday Drink Philly will be hosting a boat party on The Spirit of Philadelphia starting at 6:30PM. There will be drinks, a food buffet, DJs spinning great music, and so much more at this blowout.

Good Vibes Only Brunch: At James on Arch Street, you’ll find a great Sunday brunch this week. There will be $5 mimosas and Bloody Marys and DJ Greg Nitty providing the soundtrack for your Sunday kickback.

Wahoo’s Tequila Sunset: Wahoo’s Tacos will be hosting a summer sun event this Sunday at 3PM. There will be $7 cocktails and $6 mixed shots at this day party. Join DJ A List at this outdoor hangout.

Hangover Day Party: Punch Line Philly will be hosting a day party this Sunday from 1PM-7PM. This is a free to enter event with an RSVP. There will be plenty of drinks and people on the dance floor at this event.
