Parks on Tap this Week: Aviator Park & Lemon Hill

Parks on Tap will be at Aviator Park and Lemon Hill this week through Sunday evening. Aviator Park has some tremendous art work  including The Aero Memorial and the All Wars Memorial. At Lemon Hill you’ll find yoga classes and a bike share in the scenic area. Come to this roaming beer garden and food truck party for an amazing time.

This Week’s Center City Sips Picks: James, Aqimero, Uptown Beer Garden

Each Wednesday between the hours of 5PM-7PM the areas of Avenue of the Arts, Center City East, Center City West, and Rittenhouse Square participate in Center City Sips. Over 80 participating locations have $5 cocktails, $4 wines, $3 beers, and appetizer discounts. Here are this week’s best deals:

James: This Logan Square American bar has many great options during Center City Sips. Here you’ll find Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale and Longboard Kona at discounted prices. They also have Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc as their $4 wine specials. Try any of their locally distilled cocktails while you’re there as well.

Aqimero: The lobby of the downtown Ritz-Carlton boasts this elegant restaurant and bar. During Center City Sips they have Sly Fox 113 IPA, Malcbec, and Chardonnay. This Latin seafood spot has some savory appetizers including a smoked swordfish dip.

Uptown Beer Garden: This list is going from the penthouse to the playhouse with Uptown Beer Garden. This party place is one of the many outdoor drinking locations that offer live DJs, have massive crowds, and a raucous atmosphere. They have Coppertail Orange Creamsicle, 2SP Solar Baby, Pizza Boy Uptown IPA, and others featured weekly.

This Week’s Old City Eats Picks: Khyber Pass Pub, High Street on Market, The Plough and the Stars

Each Thursday between the hours of 5PM-8PM Philadelphia historic district Old City participates in Old City Eats. Over 25 participating locations have half-priced appetizers, $4 beers, $5 cocktails, and other drink specials. Here are this week’s best deals:

Khyber Pass Pub: This Southern BBQ bar and trendy location is the place to be during Old City Eats. Try the fired okra with Alabama White BBQ sauce or the signature cocktail Faber Hurricane. They also have Victory Braumeister Pils discounted each Thursday.

High Street on Market: This super-chic artisanal eatery and drinking destination has plenty to offer each week. Here you’ll find hummus half off and Victory Prima Pils spotlighted during Eats. The Faber Punch will be flowing as it’s the choice cocktail at this Market street restaurant.

The Plough and the Stars: This premier Old City Irish Pub has plough tapas, battered Irish sausage, mussels, and mushroom fricassee for your eating pleasure during Old City Eats. If you’re in the mood for some post-work drinks try one of their Faber cocktails or Hoegaarden beers.

Beer Festival: Morgan’s Pier is hosting a California Dreamn’ Beer Festival today starting at 5PM. For just $10 you’ll get a 12 oz. pour from each of the selected beers.

Best of Philly: This Thursday Dillworth Park will be hosting the yearly Best of Philly soiree. Philly Magazine’s annual mixer of drinks, food, and the best incentives Philly has to offer will be lively as ever. Nibble on selective food from local restaurants and more at this celebration.

Brew Tour:  Daily an After Hours Philadelphia Beer Tour is offered by City Brew Tours. You’ll have access to up to 15 beer samlpings and stop at 4 breweries on this tour. There’s also a beer paring meal included.

Mix & Mingle: This Thursday between the hours of 6PM-9PM Dujour will be hosting a Mix & Mingle event. Come to this Center City party for drinks, live music, and a good time.

GVO Happy Hour:  This Chinatown Square happy hour gathering whiskey, tea infused cocktails, and other beverages on its specialty menu. The GVO Happy Hour is this Friday from 5PM-9PM and is free with an RSVP. There will be a live DJ, dancing, and of course drinks flowing.

Made In Philly: NBA star Dion Waiters hosts Made in Philly at the Crystal Tea Room this Friday evening. This “Suit & Tie Affair” will take over this luxurious space with great music, NBA players, an energetic atmosphere, and a crowd like no other.

90’s Dance Party: FringeArts will be hosting a 90’s Dance Party this Friday from 10:30PM-2AM. There is no cover at this outdoor event that will be blasting the best in 90’s hip hop, R&B, Dancehall, Pop, and more.

Salsa Night: At The Schmidt’s Commons this Friday night, its salsa night. From 7PM-10PM come out for salsa lessons and a dance party with a big band later on. Come dance the night away at the outdoor piazza.

Boat Party: This is the second theme party on the list. Moshulu will be hosting a 90’s and 2000’s dance party this Saturday from 10PM-2AM. Come hear the best music from a era that gave us 50 Cent, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Outkast, and more.

2nd St. Afterparty: North Bowl will be hosting a 2nd St. Festival After party this Sunday night. From 10PM-2AM the DJ will be playing underground house & techno at the massive bowling entertainment center. This is a free to enter party.

VICE Pool Party: Monarch Philly will be hosting the VICE Pool Party this Sunday at 1PM. There will be guest DJs drinks, and more.
