Ronald Darby Has Switched His Jersey Number

Ronald Darby won’t be able to pry away the No. 28 from teammate Wendell Smallwood, so No. 41 will have to do.

An unorthodox selection to say the least.

Darby voiced the displeasures of his No. 35 and called it “horrible” after arriving in Philadelphia and being stuck with it. The number 41 belonged to cornerback Mitchell White, who was a Training Camp body. There were no numbers available in the 20s except for 25, which previously belonged to LeSean McCoy.

As long as he’s shutting people down this year, though, I don’t care what number he’s wearing.
