Parks on Tap This Week: Burholme Park 

The hours are Wednesday and Thursday  5 – 10PM, Friday and Saturday 1 – 11PM, and Sunday 12 – 10PM

Park on Tap will be at Burholme Park this week. There will be a special happy hour on Wednesday with 50% of the sales going to the Ryers Museum & Library. Come out for the yoga classes, to take in this spacious park, the beer garden festivities, and more. There will be food trucks on standby to pair with the wide selection of drink available at this event each day.

Philadelphia is a major spanning city. It’s always brimming with exiting new activities and things to do each week. Sometimes answering the simple question of where to eat or get a quick drink can be overwhelming. Each week Philly Influencer will highlight some new places and local favorites to add to your list. 

Will BYOB: This French inspired café is nestled on East Passunk Ave. The down to earth eatery is known for its eclectic menu that’s headed by Chef Christopher Kearse. The selections include everything from Green Gazpacho, to Spinach + Garlic Parisian Gnocchi, and more.

Kensington Quarters: Kensington Quarters is a one-of-a-kind refurbished warehouse offering delicious food in an industrial setting. Come out and try the establishment’s Tomato Lasagna, Hungarian Sausage, Almond Ginger Cake, and other selections.

Stock: This Fishtown gem offers a great Vietnamese BYOB experience. This fantastic restaurant has an excellent Pho menu. Here’s you can start off with a Vietnamese Papaya Salad or Burmese Cold Noodles. This food spot does a great job mixing spices and flavors in every dish.

Oyster House: Here’s the shout out to Center City this week with seafood catering Oyster House.  From Oysters, to lobsters, to fish, or crab, this downtown restaurant has it all. The family style dining offers special shuck deals on certain days and a knowledgeable staff. Come out for happy hour specials or an amazing dinner.

Manayunk Restaurant Week: Manayunk Restaurant Week continues through Saturday, September 30th. The food celebration offers you a fantastic way to sample various Manayunk culinary treasures at a discounted rate. Each establishment offers a specialty lunch and dinner.

Whiskey Bonanza: Whiskey Bonanza is coming to The Twisted Tail this Thursday evening. From 7PM-10PM the restaurant and bar will be having a tasting session with up to 70 whiskeys. There will be live music, plenty of food, and so much fun to be had.

Philly Free Week: Philly Free Week is a Philadelphia Magic Gardens offering. The creative and artistic South Street outdoor collective will be hosting free events through Friday, September 22nd.

Goodbye Summer: Fusion Lounge will be hosting a Goodbye Summer party this Friday night at 8PM. There will be $7 Miska cocktails from 8PM-10PM, the kitchen will be open late, and DjAkomplish will be spinning the latest hits. Entry into the bare is free with RSVP.

Mya at 1925: R&B hit maker and Grammy nominee Mya will be at Club 1925 this Friday at 10PM. Come party the night away with a free Hennessy sampling at this amazing location that always has a high energy crowd each week.

Chefs’ Nights for PAWS


Where: Skybox Event Center, 2424 E. York St.

When: Monday, October 2nd, 6PM-10PM

The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will be hosting a Chefs’ Night for PAWS next month. Several Philadelphia restaurants and bars will be participating in this event to celebrate and promote the city’s largest animal rescue partner. You’ll delectable foods from El Vez, Bru , Lacroix, Cuba Libre, Jamonera, and others as they come together to raise funds for homeless pets. Come out and taste food from the best culinary establishments representing various areas of the city for a good cause.
