Parks on Tap This Week: Powers Park

The hours are Wednesday and Thursday  5 – 10PM, Friday and Saturday 1 – 11PM, and Sunday 12 – 10PM

Parks on Tap will be progressing to its unfortunate closing week. The nomadic beer garden will be at Powers Park through Sunday, October 1st. Located in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, this scenic park has several dog walking and jogging locations. As always, the drinks will be flowing and food trucks will be on standby to fulfill your nibbling needs.

Featured Restaurants and Bars

Philadelphia is a major spanning city. It’s always brimming with exiting new activities and things to do each week. Sometimes answering the simple question of where to eat or get a quick drink can be overwhelming. Each week Philly Influencer will highlight some new places and local favorites to add to your list. 

V Street: V Street is a downtown eatery that serves the best and most savory street food in the city. The menu features many vegan and vegetarian options. The menu choices include the dishes Peruvian fries, Dan Dan Noodles, a sweet potato ice cream dessert, and more.

Friday Saturday Sunday: Friday Saturday Sunday perches near Rittenhouse Square. The culinary gem’s raw bar includes oysters, scallop ceviche, and others. Come try the New York Strip or Roasted, Potato Gnocchi, and wash it down with a signature cocktail.

American Sardine Bar: American Sardine Bar can be found down Federal Street. This South Philly restaurant has a massive tap list and plenty of microbrews. The menu is full of intriguing mixes such as a Bacon Blackberry Grilled Cheese and more.

Ambra: The Queen Village area of the city features the Italian restaurant Ambra. The traditional menu has a contemporary kick in décor, menu offerings, and cocktails. The innovative menu changes with the seasons. You might see anything from Squid Ink Spaghetti, to Smoked Tortellini, and to black olive cured swordfish.

Savor South Jersey: The Cooper River will be a prime destination this Wednesday night. Savor South Jersey will be held at The Boathouse on the Cooper River. There will be many local restaurants participating in the food and drink celebration. There will be several dishes up for sampling and drinks all around for purchase.

Sofi Millennial Cocktail Party: Modern finance company Sofi will be hosting a Millennial Cocktail party this Thursday night starting at 7PM with drinks, food, music, and more. Come to Front & Palmer with a printout, email, or anything outlining your student loan debt and get help from some amazing professionals. This is a 21 or older event.

Philadelphia Wine Cruise: This Thursday night the Ben Franklin Yacht  will be hosting a wine cruise from 6PM-9PM. This three-hour tasting will have wines from all over the world, many artisanal cheeses, complimentary sparking champagne, small plates, and more.

FEASTIVAL: FringeArts brings the 75 best restaurants and bars in the area together under one roof this Thursday night. The 2017 Audi FEASTIVAL will be from 7PM-10PM and will include several food selections, cocktails, artistic displays, and live music.

Drink Philly Boat Party: Drink Philly will be hosting a special cruise this Saturday at 12:30PM. There will be a brunch buffet, a DJ, plenty of cocktails, and more. There will be games and plenty to do aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia.

Afrofest: The 2017 Afrofest is this Saturday night at Trocadero Theatre this Saturday night. Starting at 10PM, you’ll be immersed in an mazing dance party of rhythm and music. This massive indoor party will have Afro beats, Soca, dance hall, and more blasting all night.

Five-Spice Tour: This Sunday their will be a special five-spice Chinatown dumpling tasting. Starting at 10AM try the best food will be at your fingertips. The tour also includes stops at bubble tea spots, medicine shops, arts and crafts galleries, fish markets, cultural spaces, and more.
