Joel Embiid Dominates in First Game Following His Monster Extension

Joel Embiid played competitive basketball for the first time in 257 days on Wednesday night and didn’t miss a beat.

What a dominant 15 minutes!

Two days after signing a monstrous five-year, $148 million max extension, Embiid had 22 points and seven rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers whipped up on the Brooklyn Nets 133-114 in preseason action.  The 7-foot-2 Cameroonian sunk 14 of his 18 foul shots.

No, they couldn’t guard him.

Embiid was cleared for five-on-five basketball less than a week ago. He took to Twitter to talk about his performance.

Ben Simmons posted nine points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals, while Dario Saric knocked down five 3-pointers en route to 26 points in his preseason debut.
