Jon Marks Set to Join the WIP Afternoon Show with Ike Reese

After news broke last night of current WIP afternoon drive host Chris Carlin eventually heading back to New York’s WFAN station, many people have been asking who he replacement would be. We heard Jon Marks was slated to be the replacement, but were unable to confirm.

That’s because WIP and CBS Philly wanted to break the news themselves. Who could blame them?

Today, the station announced Marks would be moving from evenings into the afternoon slot, and Joe Giglio would be taking over the 6-10 P.M. evening slot.

Jon Marks will begin co-hosting the afternoon show on CBS RADIO Philadelphia’s SportsRadio 94WIP from 2-6pm, the station announced Tuesday.

Marks will co-host alongside Ike Reese effective Thursday, November 16th. Marks is currently the station’s evening host, from 6-10pm, a role he’s held since February 2017.

Additionally, Joe Giglio will host evenings from 6-10pm and anchor weekday Phillies pre-game and post-game coverage. Giglio has hosted every daypart on WIP, most often at night and on the weekends.

Marks worked many years at 97.5 The Fanatic before going to WIP. He began working evenings last year, and now finds himself going head-to-head against Mike Missanelli.

UPDATE: Carlin posted this on Twitter.
