Radko Gudas Will Serve a 10-Game Suspension after This Incident

Radko Gudas will serve a ten game suspension following his slash on Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault. The slash can be seen here:

This is an unacceptable play from Gudas. I would say he should know better, but being he’s a repeat offender, he clearly doesn’t. Live by the Gudas, die by the Gudas; every team needs an enforcer. Ours just got caught making a dumb move.

For the next ten games the Flyers will be without their veteran wrecking ball that is Gudas. Look for Mark Alt to continue to be the replacement for the next ten games. I would expect the pairings to look like this for the most part: Ivan Provorov-Robert Hagg, Shayne Gostisbehere-Brandon Manning, Travis Sanheim-Mark Alt. Alt played pretty well last Saturday in Gudas’ absence, he played a smart, risk-free game.

Gudas is eligible to return on December 12.
