Carson Wentz Among 6 Eagles Named to Pro Bowl

Hopefully the Philadelphia Eagles send nobody to the Pro Bowl.

Because that would mean they’re in Minnesota doing much more important things.

In the meantime, the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl rosters were announced on Tuesday and MVP candidate Carson Wentz was on of the six Eagles names going to the Pro Bowl. Fletcher Cox, Zach Ertz, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks and Malcolm Jenkins were the others.

The two notable omissions to me were Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce. Kamu Grugier-Hill also has an argument as a special teamer. Graham, who has never been to a Pro Bowl, doesn’t get the recognition because he doesn’t have double digit sacks, but he’s the best run defender in the game right now along the defensive line. Kelce has been a huge reason for the Eagles’ success in the running game with his ability to pull along the perimeter. He’s been a vital piece in the outside zone and sweep runs.

Alex Mack and Travis Frederick were named as the centers of the NFC, while DeMarcus Lawrence, Everson Griffen and Cam Jordan made it ahead of Graham.

Some Eagles players responded to the snubs on Twitter.
