Was Carson Wentz’s ACL Tear a Non-Contact Injury?

Many have second-guessed Carson Wentz’s playing style in the last two days following his ACL tear in the Philadelphia Eagles 43-35 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Maybe Wentz should be sliding, maybe head coach Doug Pederson shouldn’t let him run, maybe Wentz has to throw the ball away.

But what if his injury was non-contact?

That’s what Pederson said during his press conference on Monday.

“You know, it’s hard to say. It appears watching the film again today that it was actually before the contact. So it could be a non-contact deal. But that’s just what it appears like on tape.”

Most believe Wentz injured his knee on this touchdown run, which wound up being called back due to a hold.

According to Pederson, however, that might not be the case. Wentz spoke about his injury as well.

Get well soon, Carson!
