This Week In Cocktails: National Margarita Day

Ocean Prime’s “The Prime Margarita”

National Margarita Day is this Thursday, February 22nd. Several locations across the city will be celebrating the festive drinking holiday .

Café Ynez: Café Ynez is a BYO treasure that offers up several mixers to highlight National Margarita Day. Guests can bring their favorite bottle of tequila and choose from many $10 carafes. Come by Thursday to try their  Mango Mint Mixer Carafe (orange juice, mango purée and mint syrup), Blackberry Lemon Thyme Mixer Carafe (black berry purée, lemon and homemade thyme syrup), or Bloody Mary Mixer Carafe (tomato juice, lime, hot sauce, black pepper and cilantro).

Infusion Lounge: Infusion Lounge’s specials include $25 bottomless margaritas between 7PM-9PM. You can register online or pay at the door to get access to over 35 different flavors. After 9PM the popular drink will be $5 eavh.

Keen: Lombard Street eatery Keen has created the perfect blend of tequila and citrus flavors with their Winter Margarita. The $9 cocktail includes ancho chili, agave, tequila, grapefruit, and lime.

Landmark Americana: Landmark Americana will not only be having buy one, get one free burgers but will also have very wallet friendly margaritas as well. The house margarita will be available for $2 as a part of their “U Call It” drink specials.

Ocean Prime: Center City seafood and steakhouse hot spot Ocean Prime will be shelling out the $14 Prime Margarita to honor the holiday. The signature cocktail includes Don Julio Blanco tequila, elderflower, ruby red grapefruit, and agave nectar.

Veda: The first thing you think when of a modern Indian bistro isn’t tequila and tacos. However this Thursday at Veda, those options will be front and center. With each purchase of a Don Julio’s specialty margarita, guest will reserve a free taco.

Philadelphia is a major spanning city. It’s always brimming with exiting new activities and things to do each week. Sometimes answering the simple question of where to eat or get a quick drink can be overwhelming. Each week Philly Influencer will highlight some new places and local favorites to add to your list.

Butcher Bar: Butcher Bar is a comfort food have. The Center City Center restaurants is memorable for its extensive menu, appealing bar selection, and the several pieces of butcher shop tools hanging on tis walls.  They have several steak options, a market fish daily special, and in a nod to Pulp Fiction a Royale With Cheese option.

Lolita: It wouldn’t be right to not feature another place you may catch a margarita deal this week. The rustically decked out Lolita has everything from roasted chicken enchilada to a fantastic tostadas. Here you can try any of their six specialty margaritas, choose from a robust lineup of tequilas, and create personalized tequila flights.

Morimoto: Chestnut Street Japanese powerhouse Morimoto has a diverse and savory menu, stellar decor, and a great location. Here you’ll get a dynamic dining experience that features a bounty of sushi options, several seafood options, and plenty signature cocktails.

Ristorante Pesto: Chefs Giovanni Varallo and Maria Varallo-Facenda turn up the heat at this beloved Italian eatery. Ristorante Pesto is a wonderful BYOB that serves up several classic dishes. From Gnocchi al Pesto to Vitello Piccata, you’ll find it all here.

P.M. at Penn Museum: Penn Museum is continuing the wave of institutions in the city hosting after hour hangouts. Tonight from 6PM-8PM they’ll be hosting Lets Talk About Sex(uality). There will be a cash bar and a performance.

Meet the Champions: Tonight Mad River Manayunk will be hosting Super Bowl 52 Champion Rodney McLeod for several photo ops and signature signings. The local bar will have several food and drink specials all night. The event runs from 7PM-9PM.

Century 21 Haute The Runway: This Thursday from 5PM-9PM the Century 21 Department Store will be hosting Haute The Runway. 6ABC meteorologist Melissa Magee will be in attendance answering questions about workplace wear, there will be a fashion show, and a designer spotlight for Iris Bonner of These Pink Lips.

Coda Saturdays: This Saturday night is Ladies night at Coda. DJ Trayze will be mixing up the best in new and blazing throwback tracks. Ladies get in free all night with RSVP.

Philly Bierfest: Philly Bierfest 2018 is this Saturday from 2PM-5:30PM. There will be a wide collection of German-style Pennsylvania brews. For beer lovers in the city, Spring Garden Street will be the place to be.

Artist Bash at the Barnes

Where: The Barnes Foundation, 2025 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.
When: Friday, February 23rd, 8PM-11PM

This Friday night The Barnes Foundation will be hosting Artist Bash: Heartache. The night will be full of phenomenal entertainment and unique gallery access to Kiefer RodinThere will be live musical performances, Mr. Sonny James will be spinning the night away to some amazing hits, and more. The immersive night will include shadow puppetry by Hua Hua Zhang, performances by Kingsley Ibeneche; the vocal skills of Bethlehem, Laurin Talese, and Daniel de Jesus. Come out for a fun night of dancing, art, culture, and creativity.
