The Flyers clinched a playoff berth Saturday afternoon with their 5-0 win against the New York Rangers, but it wasn’t decided until late Saturday night who their first round opponent would be.
And it’s official – the Flyers will take on the back-to-back defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round, which is set to begin this Wednesday night, April 11th.
UPDATE: Here is the Flyers vs. Penguins schedule which was confirmed after Sunday night’s Bruins vs. Panthers game.
• Game 1: Wednesday, April 11, 7:00 P.M. – Flyers at Penguins
• Game 2: Friday, April 13, 7:00 P.M. – Flyers at Penguins
• Game 3: Sunday, April 15, 3:00 P.M. – Penguins at Flyers
• Game 4: Wednesday, April 18, 7:00 P.M. – Penguins at Flyers
• Game 5*: Friday, April 20, TBD – Flyers at Penguins
• Game 6*: Sunday, April 22, TBD – Penguins at Flyers
• Game 7*: Tuesday, April 24, TBD – Flyers at Penguins
