The Week in Cocktails: Parks on Tap Campbell Square

Parks On Tap officially opens its season tomorrow at Campbell Square this week. The beautiful terrain will be bursting with lively guest, food trucks, the best brews, and more. On Thursday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., there will be free yoga in the park. The hours for this roaming beer garden are Wednesday and Thursday 5 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday 4 p.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m.- 11 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Spruce Street Harbor Park: Sustained by UNIVEST, Spruce Street Harbor Park opens this Friday. The beautiful summer gathering hotspot has hammocks, floating gardens, stellar and colorful lights, craft beer stands, and plenty of food from the area’s top restaurants. This weekend, look out for UNIVESTal. The festival will be full of live music performances, crafts, art displays, and more.

Blue Cross River Rink: The Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest kicks into full swing this Friday. There will be roller skating, the return of the carnival game area The Midway, minigolf, Chickie’s and Pete’s Crabshack, and the Franklin Fountain Cabin. Come out for the drinks, the waterfront splendor, and more.

Branzino: The treasured BYOB Branzino Italian Ristorante reopened recently near Rittenhouse Square. The restaurant’s new design features custom-made floor-to-ceiling Luan Tota, owner and founder of Branzino, stated “I’m just glad to be back and so happy to be able to share an all-new Branzino with Philadelphia.” come out for several classic Italian dishes such as Char Grilled Octopus, Filet Carpaccio, Orecchiette with spicy lamb sausage, Risotto con Fungi, Suckling Pig with smoked eggplant puree, Branzino with roasted asparagus and lemon caper beurre blanc, and more.

Manayunk’s Got Talent: Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant will be having a Manayunk’s Got Talent event today from 7PM-2AM. Hosted by Speedrock and DJ King Leo at Manayunk Brewing Company, this quest to find great local musical talent will have everything from great live music to drink specials.

Speed Dating at Tavern on Broad: Today, Tavern On Broad will be hosting a 30’s-40’s speed dating event from 7 p.m.-9.m. This enhanced way to quickly mingle offers great networking, drinks, and food. 24-48 hours after the event you will be emailed your matches.

Rooftfop Sweat Crawl: This Thursday at 7 p.m. come out to 17th Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway for a sweat and drink event. Hosted by Unite Fitness, groups will get 30 minutes of yoga with Focus Barre & Yoga. After the workout, you’ll have access to special Happy Hour specials at City Tap House.

Philadelphia Taco Festival: SugarHouse Casino will be hosting the Philadelphia Taco Festival this Saturday from 12  p.m.-6p.m. Over 30 local eateries will have their best tacos up for grabs, you’ll be able to sample an ample amount of tequila, and there will be a build-your-own-margarita station. There will be a live mariachi band, a DJ, prizes, and so much more.

IPA, Champagne, and Rosé Block Party: Hawthornes Beer Cafe will be hosting their 9th annual IPA, Champagne, and Rosé Block Party this Saturday. The event is free to enter, will have live music, food trucks, and is kid and pet-friendly. There will be tremendous drink specials all night.

Prohibition Pub Crawl: Starting at the Independence Visitor Center, the Prohibition Pub Crawl will be navigating through Old City this Saturday from 5p.m.-8p.m. This is a walking and drinking tour of the speakeasies that emerged in the city during the Prohibition. You’ll learn about operations and be able to take in samples along the way.

The Philadelphia All Star Craft Beer, Wine, and Cocktail Festival

Where: Citizens Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way
When: Saturday, May 19th, 3PM-7PM

In two weeks, Citizens Bank Park will be packed with over 100 craft beer,  wineries, breweries, and other vendors. Guests will get free parking, a voucher for two tickets to a Phillies game, and be able to get their picture taken in the Phillies dugout.  Don’t miss your opportunity to walk the bases and warning track. The Phillies new whiffle ballpark will be open for plenty of games. There will be four DJ’s and live music acts to soundtrack the party. The Phillies vs. Cardinals will also be airing LIVE on the giant 1,500 screen at the park. Come out for the games, the drinks, food, amazing atmosphere, and a true all-star experience. General admission tickets are $50, designated driver tickets are $20, and ultra VIP tickets are $70.
