1. Closing Soon: Center City Restaurant Week

Where: Various locations
When: Runs through Friday, January 25th

To culinary fans dismay, Center City Restaurant Week ends this Friday. Several participating restaurants in the city have been featuring three-course lunches and dinners for $20 and $35 over the past week. This is your last chance to stop by over 52 restaurants for savory and specialty meals and drinks.

2. Ambler Restaurant Week

Where: Various locations
When: Runs through Monday, January 28th

Center City isn’t the only place to catch culinary deals in the region. The Ambler Restaurant Week will be running through this Monday. Over a dozen restaurants will be serving up lunch and dinner deals on Main Street. There are several BYOB, cafes, fine dining, international cuisine, and other options participating.

3. The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical 

Where: Merriam Theater, 250 S. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, January 27th

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical will be at the Merriam theater through Sunday. The Hollywood Reporter calls this adaption of the best-selling novel by Rick Riordan a “winning adaptation” and Newsday titled it “electrifying!” Don’t miss out on your chance to see the GreekGods brought to life through song.

4. Jurassic Quest

Where: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks
When: Friday, January 25th-Sunday, January 27th

The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center will be hosting Jurassic Quest this weekend. This family-friendly will include dinosaur exhibits, dino crafts, green screen adventures photos, science stations, face paintings, and more. This will be a thrilling good time that you don’t want to miss.

5. Antony Gormley: STAND

Where: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.
When: Runs through Sunday, June 16th

The Philadelphia Museum of Art will be showing these amazing structures around its premises through the summer. Antony Gormley: STAND features sculptures by British artist Antony Gormley. The Museum’s Rocky steps, ten cast-iron ”blockwork” sculptures. Come see these wonderful works of artistry.

6. Women’s Mobile Museum

Where: Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, 1400 N. American St.
When: Runs through Saturday, March 30th

The Women’s Mobile Museum is “a year-long collaboration between Zanele Muholi, Lindeka Qampi, and ten Philadelphia women”. The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center partnership has resulted in this traveling exhibition which explores representation, remembrance, and identity.

7. Dinos After Dark

Where: The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, 1900 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.
When: Friday, January 25th, 4PM-8PM

The fourth Friday of the month transitions The Academy of Natural Sciences into an after-hours fun after-hours hangout. The museum will give you the chance to meet the live animals that reside in the institution, offers gallery access, and will have plenty of activities. Stop by the indoor beer garden before you walk around this invigorating museum.

8. Final Friday: Werk It!

Each Friday evening the Philadelphia Museum of Art starts your weekend off right with this amazing art and music collective event. Check out the museum’s high fashion event Werk It! this Friday heralding the prowess of LGBTQ ballroom culture. Learn the art of the catwalk and more.

9. Martha Graham Dance Company – The EVE Project

Where: Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, 3680 Walnut St.
When: Friday, January 25th-Saturday, January 26th

The Martha Graham Dance Company is a contemporary and famed dance troupe. They bring The EVE Project to the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts this Friday and Saturday. This all-female choreographed program features four pieces.

10. Dulcé Sloan

Dulce Sloan

Where: Punch Line Philly, 33 E. Laurel St.
When: Friday, January 25th-Saturday, January 26th

Dulcé Sloan has been a bright spot on Comedy Central’s “Best F#@king News Team” on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. She will be bringing her jokes and stage presence to Philadelphia this weekend. Come to Punch Line Philly to see this fresh face and rising star on the comedy scene.

11. Good Good Comedy Theatre Weekend

Make Up or Break Up

Where: Good Good Comedy Theatre, 215 N 11th St.
When: Friday, January 25th-Sunday, January 27th

The Goo Good Comedy Theatre will be filled with laughter as well this weekend with several hilarious shows. Friday night includes Joke Bath: Comedy + Free Beer w/Rachel Sennott where the entire audience gets free beer. Saturday Make Up or Break Up will take over the stage in the crazy game where”couples to the test in a series of games to decide who is meant to be and who should probably break up.”

12. Art Star Crap Bazaar

When: Saturday, January 26th-Sunday, January 27th

The Art Star Craft Bazaar is a local handmade crafts festival that takes place in the city twice a year. It’s counter event, the Art Star CRAP Bazaar will feature several local artisans peddling items that they believe to be gloriously made but also crap. Following the trash to treasure motto, you’ll find jewelry, shirts, collectibles, ceramics, and more.

13. Chinese New Year Celebration

When: Saturday, January 26th, 10:30AM-4:30PM

The Parkway Central Library will be hosting Chinese New Year Celebration and Performances this Saturday afternoon. There will be tea ceremonies, dance performances, workshops and instructional lectures, and more.

14. Radio 104.5 Winter Jawn

When: Saturday, January 26th, 12PM-5PM

XFINITY Live! will be the location for one of the biggest music events in the city this weekend. Radio 104.5’s Winter Jawn 2018 will feature Young the Giant, Matt & Kim, and so many others at this massive festival. There will be plenty of drinks flowing and sing-alongs in the crowd at the yearly blowout.

15. Academy of Music Anniversary Concert and Ball with Helen Mirren

When: Saturday, January 26th, 5PM

For decades the Academy of Music Anniversary Concert and Ball has been among Philadelphia’s most highly anticipated charity. this Saturday Academy Award-winning actor Dame Helen Mirren and The Philadelphia Orchestra led by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin will be taking over the Academy of Music for a good cause. The 162nd Anniversary Concert and Ball, themed Cornerstone of Culture, will be one of the highlights of the weekend.

16. Thank You, Places

17. Dancing with the Stars: Live!

Dancing with the Stars – Live!

18. Randy Houser

Back in November country singer Randy Houser rescheduled his SugarHouse Casino “Magnolia Tour” show. This Saturday night the show will go on as promised. 19. Lil Baby 

Dope Shows Presents Lil Baby

Where: The Fillmore, 33 E. Allen St.
When: Saturday, January 26th, 8PM

“Freestyle”, “Yes Indeed” and “Drip Too Hard” rapper Lil Baby will be front-and-center on the Fillmore Stage this Saturday night. The concert venue will be swarmed with fans of the emerging Atlanta rapper. Sy Mosquiat, Shaun Sloan, and other will open the show.

20. Everything is Awesome HEADstrong Comedy Festival

Where: Tattooed Mom, 530 South Street
When: Sunday, January 27, 1PM-PM

The 2019 Everything is Awesome HEADstrong Comedy Festival is this Sunday. Over 20 podcasts, 20 comedians, and improvisers have come together to provide free laughter and entertainment to the city. Hop around this multi-location festival for laughs, drinks, and a fun time.

21. AAMP Commune: Wailing featuring LaTreice Branson

Where: The African American Museum in Philadelphia, 701 Arch Street

Come to the AAMP this Sunday to view exhibits through the vantage point of the museum staff and selected guests. This Sunday the community conversation will center on Cotton: The Soft Dangerous Beauty of the Past. Percussionist and performance artist LaTreice Branson will be at the institute speaking on the theme of wailing and elements of her music.

22. Seton Hall vs. Villanova 

Villanova vs. Seton Hall

Where:  Wells Fargo Center, 3601 S. Broad St.
When: Sunday, January 27th, 2:30PM

If you’re looking for a game before the big game, come to the Wells Fargo Center to see the Villanova Wildcats take on the Seton Hall Pirates. The midday tip-off will put the eighteenth ranked team in the nation against a familiar Big East rival. Come out and bring your boos, cheers, and passion.

23. Skeet Carter Love Me Some Comedy

Skeet Carter Presents: LOVE ME SOME COMEDY!

Skeet Carter Presents Love Me Some Comedy! This Sunday night at Punch Line Philly there will be a fantastic and hilarious comedy show. A great lineup of comedians, including Alex Thomas, will be bringing all the laughs to the venue all night long. Laughter and a good time is always a great way to close out your weekend.
