Ben Simmons stole the show during the NBA All-Star Game draft

Plenty of funny ass moments when it came to the first All-Star Game Selection Show. Hell, just the way LeBron and Giannis went about selecting their players was entertaining. Both “Golden State Boys” went 1-2 but for our entertainment, Joel was selected a few picks later by team Giannis, then it was Giannis’s turn again later in the draft and he decided to pull the trigger on Ben Simmons.

Both Sixers players as teammates was going to be pretty cool. Emphasis on was.

A trade?! I’m not going to lie, I like it. I also like the idea of Joel and Russ being teammates now. Every year, some teammate has to worry about having to throw fists with Russ. A tradition unlike any other.

But the best part is Simmons had fun with it and seems quite happy with the move to Bron’s squad.

Overall, I loved the selection show. Very original and a great idea by the powers that be to make a change and add an extra element that only adds excitement. Which brings me to my next thought… how bad is MLB is at these things? The draft, All-Star Game, free agency – you name it, baseball isn’t even close to what both the NBA and NFL bring to table when it comes to strategy and pub.
