Well that’s a nice surprise! When I woke up from a long weekend, I was happy to see the recent cover of Sports Illustrated is filled with the Sixers starting five. Very nice! No, I don’t believe in any of that jinx shit and neither should you.
Now what you should be asking is, does Philly deserve the cover? The Celtics and the Raptors have owned us and even the players know this as Ben Simmons was quick to point it out this past Friday on The Jump.
Still, the cover is fire and I’m looking forward to reading the article inside Si and seeing the boys return this Thursday night vs the Heat.
Also very cool to see the last time the Sixers were on the cover, (2008) Elton Brand was the main attraction.
