Eagles bring back Jason Peters for one more year

Bill Streicher - USA TODAY

The bodyguard is back for at least one more season.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed tackle Jason Peters to a one-year contract on Monday. It will be his 11th season with the team.

The contract has a maximum value of $10 million with $5.5 million in guarantees, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

While it’s frustrating dealing with the weekly Peters injury, he always lifts his play when it matters. He completely shut down Khalil Mack in the playoffs. Peters will get at least one more chance to make a postseason run after watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl from the sidelines in 2017 with a torn ACL.
