Flyers loan Lyon, Rubstov, Bunnaman to Lehigh Valley Phantoms

The Philadelphia Flyers have loaned three players to AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley Phantoms with the team heading into the All-Star Break.

The team announced Wednesday they’ve loaned goaltender Alex Lyon, and forwards German Rubstov and Connor Bunnaman to the Phantoms. All three are eligible to play in the Phantoms’ next game, a Jan. 24th trip to the Providence Bruins.

Lyon was called up last week for the first time this season, allowing four goals in a 4-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. In 14 career NHL appearances, Lyon has recorded a 4-4-1 record with a 3.14 GAA and an .894 save percentage.

Rubstov, 21, has made four appearances this season for the Flyers, averaging 6:48 in ice time. He failed to record a point so far this season.

Bunnaman has one goal and one assist in nine NHL games this season. He averaged just under nine minutes of ice time.

The Phantoms are currently 18-19-1 and seventh in the AHL’s Atlantic Division.
