The wait is over. Carter Hart is back available for the Philadelphia Flyers.
Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault confirmed to reporters on Monday that Hart is available for Monday night’s Eastern Conference showdown against the Florida Panthers. Hart is taking the spot of Alex Lyon, who was demoted to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on the same day.

Hart has been sidelined since Jan. 14th with a right abdominal strain suffered in practice. The 21-year-old has posted a 15-11-3 record this season, registering a 2.61 GAA and a .905 save percentage.
Brian Elliott has stepped in for the injured Hart, posting a 5-1-1 record with wins over the St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins, and recently Washington Capitals. Alex Lyon also earned his first win of the 2019-20 season in a 6-3 triumph over the Colorado Avalanche.
However, with Hart returning, the Flyers will once again be without the services of winger Joel Farabee on Monday. Farabee will miss his third-consecutive game due to illness, but is expected to be available for Tuesday’s Metropolitan Division trip to the New York Islanders.
Farabee was hitting a groove before being sidelined, scoring four goals and adding two assists in his last six games.
The Flyers are ninth in the East, sitting just outside of the final Wild Card spot on goal differential. Tonight begins a four-game week for the Flyers, who will also visit Florida on Thursday and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.
