Shayne Gostisbehere has been recalled by the Philadelphia Flyers.
The team announced the roster move on Sunday, three days after the Flyers loaned the defenseman to AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Gostisbehere played in Friday and Saturday’s respective games for the Phantoms, both losses to Rochester and Syracuse.

Gostisbehere missed the last six games for the Flyers after dealing with soreness in his knee. The 25-year-old underwent arthroscopic knee surgery earlier this season and returned too quickly following the procedure.
He’s played in 41 games this season, scoring five goals and registering seven assists. He is currently one point away from 200 for his career.
With Gostisbehere returning to the Flyers, the team demoted Mark Friedman back to the Phantoms after playing only one game in his recall.
The Flyers are coming off a 4-2 home win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday. Alain Vigneault’s team continue a three-game homestand on Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center against the San Jose Sharks.
