Shooters Radio: Tyson/Jericho mimics Tyson/Austin

AEW’s banking on Mike Tyson for some mainstream exposure – and that’s a good thing for the company. As far as how it played out on the latest episode of Dynamite… well… let’s just say it was as close to a recreation of the Tyson/Austin angle from January 1998 as you could get.

This week, Nick and Vaughn discuss why AEW decided to go that route instead of setting up Tyson vs. Jericho differently so it wouldn’t come to look like such a carbon copy of an angle 22 years ago. The guys also discuss their thoughts about AEW running a storyline that began in WWE 10 years ago.

Then, we’ve got some more live commentary goodness. We’re tackling the Scaffold Match between the Midnight Express and Road Warriors from Starrcade 1986 to round out the show.

Note: Nick apologizes for how bad his microphone sounds. It’ll be fixed next week.
