The “Race for the Record” practically saved Major League Baseball when it was thought to be dead. Coming off a strike-shortened season, there was a legitimate concern for lack of attendance around all MLB parks. Bud Selig, baseball’s commish at the time, knew about the rampant steroid use, but chose to ignore it to line his pockets with more money. With that said, why should we put all the blame on the players?
Michael Jordan was the G.O.A.T. in terms of supreme athletes and basketball. But, what about the other sports? Who changed the game forever in the NHL, NFL, PGA, etc.?
