Super Bowl 55 odds after the 2020 NFL Draft

If we’re going to see 32 National Football League teams take the field this year, then we’re [hopefully] going to see a Super Bowl Champion. Whether that’s on a neutral site or home fields with fewer fans, sports fans will be glued to this coming season to see how everything plays out.

What we usually do during the off-season is look at Super Bowl odds as we hit some of the NFL’s key dates. And, like every other season, we’re going to look at the Super Bowl odds for the top 10 teams in the NFL after the 2020 NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft was a monumental event, as every pick was made from the web, and we saw players celebrate with their families while being quarantined inside their homes. There truly has been no event like that in history. And now that the dust has settled for those teams who’ve been through free agency and the draft, it’s time to look at who’s got the best shot.

sb 55 odds updated here

Before the draft, Tom Brady announced he’d be signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so the New England Patriots’ odds dropped drastically, as you can see below, whereas the Buccaneers became a top-five contender. That’s tough news for the Eagles, whose conference just got a whole lot tougher.

And it’s not just the NFC that got tougher. The NFC East also did, as the Dallas Cowboys had what many experts believe to be the best draft of all 32 teams, joining the Rams and 49ers leaping into the top echelon of odds. That’s bad news for the Eagles, because despite addressing some of their key weaknesses – no, we won’t talk about Jalen Hurts here – the rest of the division also improved. It might be one of the hardest-fought divisions yet again, but this time with four capable teams of taking the crown.

Again, these teams would still have to go through the defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, who are still favored to win the Super Bowl at +650. At the moment, the Eagles are positioned in fifth place out of the NFC, and one spot below the Dallas Cowboys.

With the Cowboys looking a lot better on paper coming into this season and having better odds to win Super Bowl 55 than the defending division champions, the Eagles absolutely have to match hype with hype. They still have a very talented roster, and will certainly not roll over just because the Cowboys are now the apple of the national media’s eye again. Doug Pederson will need to get his team ready for the challenge and Carson Wentz will need to build a strong rapport with his new weapons at wide receiver.

The odds will certainly change throughout the course of the rest of this off-season, and when the season starts.
