Phillies-Blue Jays postponed after two positive Phillies COVID-19 tests

The upcoming Phillies vs. Blue Jays series this weekend has been postponed, according to Toronto manager Charlie Montoyo. After two Phillies staff members tested positive for COVID-19, all activity at Citizens Bank Park has been put on hold.

The Phillies issued a press release:

“The Phillies have received the results of yesterday’s testing. While no players tested positive for Covid-19, there were two staff members that did test positive. One is a member of the coaching staff and one is a member of the home clubhouse staff. All activity at Citizens Bank Park has been cancelled today and until further notice.”

The Phillies would now be scheduled to take the field Tuesday in Miami against the Marlins. I have to think that will soon come under consideration for further cancellation.
