Jeremy Maclin Challenges Eagles Fan on Twitter

After the Chiefs lost to the Patriots yesterday – in which the team didn’t have any help from their coach(es) when it came down to clock management at the end of the game [and, really, who was surprised by that?] – Jeremy Maclin was the target of at least one Eagles fan, and it got his attention.

Oh, snap. While this Eagles fans is basking in the glory of his 15 minutes of fame, I wonder if Maclin will be seeking him out when he comes to Philly in the offseason? Probably not. Shouldn’t have even been worthy enough of a response by Maclin.

But, just so we can prove that stupid Eagles fan wrong, Maclin had seven receptions and 146 yards with a touchdown against the Cowboys in the 2009 playoffs in his first season with the Eagles. He then had three receptions for 73 yards against the Packers the next year, and Maclin was injured during Chip Kelly’s first season as head coach when the Eagles hosted the Saints. He then left both playoff games the past two weeks due to injury.

With five receptions for 52 yards in the Chiefs’ playoff games, it’s pretty clear that Maclin would’ve had better numbers had he not had to deal with injuries the last two weeks.
