Chris Christie Has Now Called Out Phillies Fans

Chris Christie is at it again. Ever since President Donald Trump dumped him from any consideration for a position for his cabinet, Christie’s been trying to remain relevant as his days as governor of New Jersey are thankfully almost over.

But, of course, Christie found a television camera and said some dumb stuff on last night’s edition of Baseball Night on SNY. The group talked about the Phillies painting “Ya Gotta Believe” – a famous New York Mets slogan – in their clubhouse. Of course, Christie added absolutely nothing to the conversation, instead focusing on some low grade trash talk in order to make me write a post like this. [Damn you].

“The Phillies suck. Let’s just start with that. They’re from Philadelphia. They’re an awful team. They’re an angry, bitter fan base and it’s not safe for civilized people to go to Citizens Bank Park if you want to root for the other team.”

“Ya gotta believe what? Ya gotta believe we’re awful people!”

Notice how everyone laughed when Christie said the Phillies suck? It was definitely nervous laughter, because nobody wanted to tell Christie that the Phillies have won a World Series title more recently than the New York Mets. The same New York Mets who suck again after a miracle season two years ago.

The name of the segment was “Let’s Overreact!” – and that’s exactly what those poor schmucks did.
