Looking at the 2019 schedules for the rest of the NFC East

All 32 NFL teams released their 2019 regular season schedules Wednesday night. You can see the Eagles’ schedule here.

But for this post, we’re taking a look at the rest of the NFC East. After all, it’s probably going to be another hard-fought division this coming season.

First, we’ll start with the current NFC East champions.

Dallas Cowboys:

9/8 – Week 1 vs. NY Giants
9/15 – Week 2 at Washington
9/22 – Week 3 vs. Dolphins
9/29 – Week 4 at Saints (SNF)
10/6 – Week 5 vs. Packers
10/13 – Week 6 at NY Jets
10/20 – Week 7 vs. Eagles (SNF)
BYE
11/4 – Week 9 at NY Giants (MNF)
11/10 – Week 10 vs. Vikings (SNF)
11/17 – Week 11 at Lions
11/24 – Week 12 at Patriots
11/28 – Week 13 vs. Bills (Thanksgiving)
12/5 – Week 14 at Bears (TNF)
12/15 – Week 15 vs. Rams
12/22 – Week 16 at Eagles
12/29 – Week 17 vs. Washington

Thoughts:

The Cowboys get three relatively easy match-ups before having to travel to New Orleans in Week 4, so a 3-0 start may mitigate any problems a loss to the Saints would do. They do have to travel to Detroit, New England, and Chicago three of four weeks, right in the crux of the season. Playing the Rams and Eagles back-to-back will be tough, especially having to travel to Philly after hosting L.A. Still look for them to be in the hunt for the NFC East crown.

Washington Redskins:

9/8 – Week 1 at Eagles
9/15 – Week 2 vs. Cowboys
9/22 – Week 3 vs. Bears (MNF)
9/26 – Week 4 at NY Giants
10/6 – Week 5 vs. Patriots
10/13 – Week 6 at Dolphins
10/20 – Week 7 vs. 49ers
10/24 – Week 8 at Vikings (TNF)
11/3 – Week 9 at Bills
BYE
11/17 – Week 11 vs. NY Jets
11/24 – Week 12 vs. Lions
12/1 – Week 13 at Panthers
12/9 – Week 14 at Packers
12/15 – Week 15 vs. Eagles
12/22 – Week 16 vs. Giants
12/29 – Week 17 at Cowboys

Thoughts:

Same bye week as the Eagles. They’ll have to travel to Minnesota on a short week. Three tough opponents to begin the year, and with their quarterback situation, an 0-3 start may bury them before the season even gets going. They do get to host the Patriots in Week 5, but three of their last five games are on the road against the Panthers, Packers, and Cowboys. I’m not feeling too good about their post-season chances.

New York Giants:

9/8 – Week 1 – at Cowboys
9/15 – Week 2 – vs. Bills
9/22 – Week 3 – at Buccaneers
9/26 – Week 4 – vs. Washington
10/6 – Week 5 – vs. Vikings
10/10 – Week 6 – at Patriots (TNF)
10/20 – Week 7 – vs. Cardinals
10/27 – Week 8 at Lions
11/4 – Week 9 vs. Cowboys (MNF)
11/10 – Week 10 at NY Jets
BYE
11/24 – Week 12 at Bears
12/1 – Week 13 vs. Packers
12/9 – Week 14 at Eagles
12/15 – Week 15 vs. Dolphins
12/22 – Week 16 at Washington
12/29 – Week 17 vs. Eagles

Thoughts:

0-16.
