2020 NFL Mock Draft: Eagles stay at No. 21, draft WR Brandon Aiyuk

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles are under enormous pressure to make a splash in Thursday’s NFL Draft.

After not acquiring any wide receivers during the start of free agency, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman will need to make a smart decision when No. 21 rolls around. Pending the Eagles don’t make a trade in the first round, wide receiver seems like the likely option to give Carson Wentz a young talent heading into the 2020 NFL season.

Cornerback and linebacker could also be targeted should the numerous wide receivers be off the board.

In my 2020 NFL mock draft, the Eagles select Arizona State playmaker Brandon Aiyuk at No. 21. Aiyuk’s playmaking ability and game-changing talent should give the Eagles a strong start to what needs to be an entirely positive haul this weekend. Aiyuk totaled over 1,800 all-purpose yards in 2019, with 1,192 of those coming on the offensive side of the ball.

He is a great story after transferring to the Pac 12 team from Sierra College and making an impact as a receiver and a return specialist.

Here’s how I have the first round playing out, pending no trades occur (although very unlikely):
