New England Patriot Fans Are Suing the NFL

Some fans of the New England Patriots are suing the NFL in an effort to regain the team’s first-round pick in the upcoming 2016 NFL draft, which was taken away as a result of Deflategate. I’d like to say that this is shocking, but it’s not. The Patriots’ fanbase have got to be one of the top five self-entitled fanbases in all of professional sports.

Per ESPN.com, the report states that “the NFL made an ‘arbitrary and capricious’ decision to revoke the draft pick even though there is no proof that the team deliberately deflated footballs.” Seth Carey, an attorney, states the following:

“This case is brought by New England Patriots fans on behalf of all Patriots fans who believe the New England Patriots professional football team were harmed by the Defendants’ arbitrary and capricious decision to revoke the Patriots first round draft choice in the April 28, 2016 NFL Draft.”

The complaint continues on and says “the league and commissioner Roger Goodell relied on “false premises and biased ‘investigations’ and untrue ‘facts,'” to reach their decision to take away the team’s first-round pick in this month’s draft.”

Is anyone else finding this nonsense comical like I am? I mean, we all know that Roger Goodell is a total assclown and shouldn’t be responsible for handing out any punishments. But, holy shit. These fans have some nerve.

They’re even taking issue with Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, for “not fighting hard enough to get the draft pick back.” Really? Is it not enough that Kraft is in Goodell’s back pocket and vice versa?

I definitely needed this laugh. Needless to say, both the Patriots and the league haven’t responded to requests for comments.
