Report: Ron Brooks Takes a Pay Cut, Eagles Save Some Cap Space

Every dollar counts for the cash-strapped Philadelphia Eagles.

Eagles cornerback Ron Brooks took a pay cut on Friday, according to a report by ESPN’s Field Yates. Brooks was slated to make $1.85 million in 2017, but that number has now been reduced to $1 million. Philadelphia saves $850,000 in cap space with the move.

The 28-year-old slot cornerback played in just six games last year after rupturing his right quad tendon against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6.
