1. Night Out Restaurant Week

Where: Various locations
When: Friday, August 10th-Sunday, August 19th

Fishtown, Northern Liberties, and Penn’s Landing will merge this weekend in their efforts to promote the amazing culinary spots and gems in the city over the next week. Night Out Restaurant Week includes almost twenty restaurants with specially crafted menus and drinks specials. Everyone who eats at a participating eatery gets a $10 free play at SugarHouse Casino on top of a tremendous meal.

2. Market to Table: Chef Tour and Dinner Featuring Kevin Sbraga

Where: Reading Terminal Market, 51 N. 12th St.
When: Friday, August 10th, 5PM-8PM

Reading Terminal Market has launched a new series called Market to Table: Chef Tour and Dinner. This Friday night Top Chef winner Kevin Sbraga will be touring attendees around the market, picking out ingredients, and cooking a fantastic dinner at this after-hours culinary display.

3. Shooting Stars and S’mores

Where: Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, 8480 Hagys Mill Rd.
When: Friday, August 10th, 8PM

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education will be hosting a watch party for “the summer’s most spectacular meteor shower” this Friday night. The Perseid Meteor Shower will be viewed through the Schuylkill Center’s telescopes. Bring your friends and family out for a night of star watching and s’mores around the fire.

4. 311 and The Offspring

Where: Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing, 601 N. Columbus Blvd.
When: Friday, August 10th, 7PM

Gym Class Heroes, 311, and The Offspring will be live at the Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing this Friday evening. The Unity Tour 2018, presented by City Fitness, perfectly blends these rockers from a great era in music. Whether your favorite is “Love Song”, “Self-Esteem”, or “Stereo Hearts”, you’ll hear them all Friday night.

5. Wiz Khalifa and Rae Sremmurd 

Where: BB&T Pavillion, 1 Harbour Blvd. Camden, NJ
When: Friday, August 10th, 8PM

The Dazed and Blazed Tour comes to the BB&T Pavillion this Friday night. Wiz Khalifa and Rae Sremmurd will be taking over the amphitheater stage to perform several of their hits. Recently, Wiz released his first album in four years Rolling Papers 2. Come out tp he waterfront for this great Hip-Hop show. There will also be an afterparty for this concert at NOTO Philadelphia.

6. Jeremih and Teyana Taylor

Where: Union Transfer, 1026 Spring Garden St.
When: Friday, August 10th, 8:30PM

This Friday night R&b crooners Jeremih and Teyana Taylor will be performing at Union Transfer. Taylor released her latest project K.T.S.E months ago and Jeremih is rumored to be working on a new studio album titled Later That Night. The duo will be bringing their energy, talent, and stage presence to this great Spring Garden venue.

7. Friday Night Boxing

Where: Sugarhouse Casino, 1001 N. Delaware Ave.
When: Friday, August 10th, 7PM

Live professional boxing will be the main event at the SugarHouse Casino this Friday night. King’s Promotions will be producing matchups featuring several tremendous boxers from the region. For marvelous fights full of skill and brawn, look nowhere else.

8. Ready Player One

Where: Dilworth Park, 1 S. 15th St.
When: Friday, August 10th, 8:30PM

Dilworth Park’s Pictures in the Park will screen Ready Player One this Friday night. The Steven Spielberg project stars Olivia Cooke, Ty Sheridan, Lena Waithe, and TJ Miller. This visual marvel and stunning feature will be projected right next to City Hall. The first 100 guests in attendance will receive free popcorn courtesy of TD Bank.

9. Back to the Future

Where: Clark Park, 4300 Baltimore Ave.
When: Friday, August 10th, 8PM

Clark Park kicks off its free series of outdoor movie screenings this Friday by showing the classic 88 mph Back to the Future. The outdoor production will have snacks, there’s a pop-up Polaroid photo booth, is BYOB, and more. This event is kid and pet-friendly. Roads, where you’re going you won’t need roads, just a blanket.

10. Silent Philly X City Hall

Where: City Hall, 1401 JFK Blvd.
When: Friday, August 10th, 8PM

Silent Philly had to reschedule this popular party a few times. This Friday the weather is favorable for this massive party in the center of City Hall. Partygoers will be coming out to slide on those colorful headphones and dance the night away listening to their favorite music

11. Philly Free Streets

Where: North Broad St to Erie Ave.
When: Saturday, August 11th, 8AM- 1PM

On some early mornings, you can take a stroll down Broad Street and not be bothered by the bustling of cars or the sounds of a vibrant and car-filled city. This Saturday morning, you’ll be able to feel that element for hours. The Philly Free Streets initiative will be shutting down some roads and freeing them of vehicular traffic. Pedestrians, walkers, bikers, and all are welcomed to roam.

12. Beach on North Broad

Where: Broad St. and Master St.
When: August, 11th-12th and August 18th-19

The beach has come to North Philadelphia! For the next two weekends, you’ll be able to play beach games, lay out in the sun, and pull up a relaxing chair at this pop-up oasis. They’ll be umbrellas, vendors, and most importanly, fun.

13. The Color Run Philadelphia

Where: Talen Energy Stadium, 1 Stadium Dr, Chester, PA
When: Saturday, August 11th, 9AM

The Color Run Philadelphia is an illuminating and rigorous 5K run. After several courses across the nation, this festive and exciting race will be taking over Talen Energy Stadium in Chester. This will be a fun way to spend your day and see if you can endure the countless random sprays of colors.

14. Eagles Final Open Practice

Where: Lincoln Financial Field, 1 Lincoln Financial Field Way
When: Saturday, August 11th, 10AM

This Saturday, the final open practices for the 2018 Super Bowl champions will take over Lincoln Financial Field. Last week 40,000 fans came out to turn the stadium into a “Fly Eagles Fly” chant fest.  The players will be running through a full practice in front of a capacity crowd of the bleeding green faithful.

15. 2nd Saturday Street Art Tour

Where: Various locations
When: Saturday, June 9th, 11AM– 1PM and 2PM–4PM

Streets Dept’s 2nd Saturday Street Art Tours returned for the have been enhancing the neighborhood for months. Every second Saturday Conrad Benner will be hosting a walking tour of Philadelphia’s most stunning street art, murals, and graffiti. This will be an immersive and informative tour full of colorful designs and great conversation.

16. Macy’s Family Fun Day 

Where: The African American Museum in Philadelphia, 701 Arch St.
When: Saturday, August 11th, 11AM-4PM

This Saturday, bring all your loved ones out to the African American Museum for Macy’s Family Fun Day. There will be a Youth Empowerment Celebration. The event will have performances and plenty of family-friendly activities. The first 250 people in attendance will receive free entry.

17. Jazz on the Ave Music Festival

Where: Broad Street & Cecil Moore Ave.
When: Saturday, August 11th, 12PM-8PM

Beech Community Services presents the 12th Annual Jazz on the Ave Music Festival. Grammy nominee PJ Morton will be headlining this amazing lineup of talented artists. Along with music, there will be face painting, sculpting, food, craft vendors, wellness areas, rock climbing, and several other activities. This is a free event that enriches the community each year.

18. 2nd Saturday Germantown

Where: Cliveden, 6401 Germantown Ave.
When: Saturday, August 11th, 12:30PM-4:30PM

Historic Germantown provides an engaging event every second Saturday of each month. This Saturday Warren Oree and The Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble will be performing live jazz ar Cliveden.  The troupe will be playing several pieces including a “unique jazz score based on Cliveden’s history.” Come to this scenic area and take in the rich tradition and culture as the music serenades your stoll.

19. Fireworks & Fountains

Where: Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Rd. Kennet Square, PA
When: Saturday, August 11th, 9:15PM

Each season Longwood Gardens pulls off their dazzling Fireworks & Fountains spectacular. The prominent and renowned display merges glorious luminary skies with stunning fountains. In celebration of Bernstein’s 100th birthday, this Saturday night’s show will be set to he famous works. The show will include songs from West Side StoryOn the Town, Candide, and more.

20. Jamaica’s 56th Independence Celebrations

Where: Big Yard Entertainment Complex, 6039 Passyunk Ave.
When: Sunday, August 12th, 12PM-10PM

This Sunday come out and celebrate the beauty and wonders of island culture. In celebration of Jamaica’s 56th year of independence, this event will have a bun eating contest, a beer drinking contest, live music, art, dance performances, and more.

21. Radio 104.5 Summer Block Party

Where: Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing, 601 N. Columbus Blvd.
When: Sunday, August 12th, 2PM

Cold War Kids, Bishop Briggs, Alice Merton, Robert DeLong & Deadfellow will be rocking the house at the Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing this Sunday. Radio 104.5’s Summer Block Party will be full of fantastic tunes, a lively crowd, and so much more.

22. Chestnut Hill Restaurant Week

Where: Various locations
When: Sunday, August 12th-Friday, August 17th

The 2018 Chestnut Hill Restaurant Week begins this Sunday and runs through the end of next week. There will be specialty lunches and dinner menus at several eateries in the Chestnut Hill area. Choose from several drinks and food specials during this amazing week which will show off a treasured area of the city.
