The List:

1. Aaron Rodgers, Packers (Tier 1)
2. Tom Brady, Patriots (Tier 1)
3. Drew Brees, Saints (Tier 1)
4. Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs (Tier 1)
5. Andrew Luck, Colts (Tier 1)
6. Philip Rivers, Chargers (Tier 1)
7. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers (Tier 1)
8. Russell Wilson, Seahawks (Tier 1)
9. Matt Ryan, Falcons (Tier 2)

Wentz comes in second in the 2nd-tier quarterbacks, just behind former league MVP Matt Ryan. The commentary on Wentz was a mixed bag. He received extreme praise from some and scrutiny from others.

Commentary

“He’s a 1.”

“We played them; he made four to five throws I really did not think he could make. He has great confidence, great stature. Big arm. Competitive. He gets hit more than he should, but he played young and should grow out of that.”

“We have played him, and our head coach thinks the world of him, and I think he is a great player and a strong athlete.”

“I just don’t know his ability to read it and have touch passes. He can throw hard balls in there, and he has a super-strong arm. I do not yet know if he has the touch and the feel to ascend.”

“He is damn good and he can run, but he does not play with a calm to him yet.”

“He overreacts to things and is not smooth and poised like a guy who has done it a long time. He will get there.”

“Andrew Luck-ish.”

Wentz was ranked above veteran Matt Stafford, hot-ticket Deshaun Watson (T-12), and draft-mate Jared Goff (T-12). Wentz also ranked higher than division rival Dak Prescott. This fact was brought up on FS1’s Undisputed today. Notorious Eagles and Carson Wentz hater Skip Bayless was once again in disbelief.

Did Wentz get ranked correctly? Tell us in the comments and don’t forget to share.
